GETTYSBURG, Pa. – On a hot and sunny day, the 44th Annual Cross Country Alumni Race took place at Gettysburg College with current student-athletes and alumni competing against one another in the yearly tradition.

Capturing the crown in the women’s race this year was 2017 grad Amanda Asaro, blazing to the finish line with a time of 19:21.03. Former All-American Elizabeth Hilfrank ’18 finished as the runner-up (20:30.6) and senior Kate O’Brien (Lynchburg, Pa./Virginia Episcopal School) took third (20:58.6).

After winning the race in 2019, Sam Sheldon ’20 cruised the 5K course in 15:38.3 to place first for the second time. Alex Petrecca ’19 and senior Dylan McKeever (Furlong, Pa./Central Bucks East) posted second (16:01.1) and third (16:27.2), respectively.
