Apple Blossom Festival is about to bloom again

Adams County will soon be ready to celebrate with the 3rd Annual Blossom Festival, happening Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the National Apple Museum in Biglerville. The popular event promises a full day of live music, delicious food, and family-friendly fun—rain or shine.

Festival-goers can enjoy performances from Whispering Creek Bluegrass and Christine and the Harvest King while sampling food and drinks from local favorites like The Apple Bin Food Truck, Whatz Poppin’ PA, and Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee and All Beverage Truck.

This year’s new addition is the Chili Cookoff, which will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For just $3, attendees can taste and vote on a variety of homemade chili entries. Winners will take home prizes, including a $150 Butcher Block gift card for first place and a $100 Giant gift card for second.

Adding to the charm, Silvershire Farms will offer horse-drawn carriage rides throughout the day. The festival also features local vendors, face painting, free museum tours, and hourly giveaways, making it an event for all ages.

The Blossom Festival kicks off a season of activity at the National Apple Museum. The night before, on Friday, April 25, the museum hosts its first concert of the year from 7 to 10 p.m., featuring Chuck Darwin & the Knuckle Draggers. The museum officially opens for its seasonal hours on Saturday, May 3 with free weekend tours running through October.

Other upcoming events include the Biglerville Garden Club’s Annual Plant Sale on May 10 and a free Seedling and Plant Swap on May 24.

For those looking to get more involved, the museum is seeking volunteers and offers event space rentals for private gatherings. For more information, call (717) 677-4556 or email biglervillehps@gmail.com.
