Today, local attorney Paul Royer officially launched his campaign for Adams County Court of Common Pleas Judge.
Royer will run as a Republican.

“My experience in general practice—civil, family and criminal—has given me the necessary foundation to serve my fellow citizens of Adams County as our next judge. Campaigning is new to me and I’m no politician; I have spent nearly my entire adult life practicing law, trying to help my clients while showing candor to the courts.”
A graduate of Mercersburg Academy in 1993, Royer received his Juris Doctor from the Penn State-Dickinson School of Law in 2003.
Royer possesses more than twenty years of legal experience, including arguing multiple cases before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, many jury trials and having had thousands of clients. He currently serves in private practice at Strausbaugh Law in Gettysburg.
“I am a pro-2nd amendment constitutional conservative who will represent our shared Adam’s County values on the Court of Common Pleas,” explained Royer, a life-long Conservative and staunch supporter of the rule of law.
“I feel strongly that judges must be independent and free from influence. The job of a judge is to apply the law as it is written, with reason, without favor, and with an eye always on justice and doing the right thing,” concluded Royer.
Paul and his wife Denise have been married for 21 years and reside in Gettysburg with their two daughters.
