  • Hi – Would like to know the results of your “HERO” nominations and who was chosen. My sister-in-law and I submitted a name.

    • Hi Patricia,

Thank you! Firstly for sharing this comment and secondly for submitting an award for a hero.

Frankly, the response has been overwhelming and we already have over 20 nominations in hand.

We’ve started to make the awards, but we’ve renamed them a bit. We’re now calling the awards the “Outstanding Commmunity Contributor Award,” and we’re giving about one a month.

So far we’ve made awards to Jan Powers and Earl Shutt, and this month the award is going to Alex Hayes.

You can see the awards here:

I want to be sure I have your nomination, but I don’t see it under your name. Perhaps you used your sister-in-law’s name?

Thanks again for your interest and being part of this important initiative.
