Corelle Brands, a well-known kitchenware manufacturer, is set to close its facility in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, resulting in the loss of 323 jobs. The company filed a WARN Notice with the Department of Labor & Industry, outlining the closure of its plant at 12000 Molly Pitcher Highway in Greencastle.
The layoffs will occur in three waves over the coming months. The first and largest wave is scheduled for June 9, 2025, affecting 192 employees. A second round on September 30 will impact 106 more workers, followed by a final wave on November 17 that will affect the remaining 25 employees.
This move follows the company’s recent closure of another facility in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, which led to 270 layoffs in October 2024. That closure was officially completed the same day the Greencastle news broke.
Corelle Brands is recognized for producing widely used household names, including Pyrex, Corelle, CorningWare, Snapware, Chicago Cutlery, and Instant. With the closure of multiple facilities in less than a year, the company’s manufacturing footprint in Pennsylvania is rapidly shrinking.

What is the big picture with Corelle? Are they moving elsewhere or in the process of shutting down the (overall) company or what?
I personally like their dishware for everyday use. Ditto Pyrex and Corning.
