Gettysburg Area School District’s James Gettys Elementary School has closed and moved to remote learning following two confirmed cases of COVID-19 at the school.
All extra-curricular activities are also cancelled.

In-person instruction for the school is currently expected to resume on Wednesday, Dec. 16.
The district said anyone who has been in “close contact” with a positive case will be notified by either the PA Department of Health or the school district.
The district will continue following all Department of Health guidance and the district’s health and safety plan.
The district has asked families to continue monitoring their children for any symptoms of COVID-19.
