The Eisenhower National Historic Site will host its second annual Easter Egg Roll Event on April 19, 2025, from 11 am to 2 pm.
The Eisenhowers brought this beloved event back to the South Lawn of the White House in 1953 after a long suspension due to World War II and continued food rationing. Now in its second year, park staff, in the spirit and tradition of the original Eisenhower Presidential Easter Egg Roll, encourage young visitors and families to engage in a series of fun-filled activities culminating in an Easter Egg Roll on the lawn of the Eisenhower home in Gettysburg, PA. Visitors will have opportunities to learn about the Eisenhower family’s Easter traditions at the White House and how they enjoyed time with their children and grandchildren. Additionally, the Eisenhower home will be open for open-house-style tours.
This event is made possible through our continued partnership with the Gettysburg Foundation and with the assistance of Destination Gettysburg, the Dwight D. Eisenhower Society, and the Adams County Library. It is free and open to the public, and free parking is available on site.
In the event of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for Monday, April 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. If the event is rescheduled to Monday, April 21, an announcement will be made on Thursday, April 17.
