2021 NFHCA Division III Senior Team
BROCKPORT, N.Y. Senior Emma Bertrando (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Senior Team following four years of dedication to the Gettysburg College field hockey program.

Bertrando was one of 60 seniors named to the squad, which was named in lieu of the traditional coach-led trophy presentation at the NFHCA Senior Games. The Senior Games were cancelled due to limitations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
A four-time All-Centennial Conference selection, including first-team honors this fall, Bertrando finished seventh in the conference with 23 points coming on six goals and a league-best 11 assists. She scored a pair of goals against Stevenson University and dished out a program-record tying three assists in a win over McDaniel College. Her assist total tied for the third most in a single season in program history.
Technically, Bertrando’s commitment to the program spanned five seasons after taking a gap year away from the college when the 2020 field hockey season was cancelled. Last week, she became just the fifth Gettysburg player to earn all-conference honors four times and she was an all-region selection in 2019. Bertrando finished her career with 76 points on 27 goals and 22 assists in 68 games. She finished second all-time in assists and tied for eighth in points at Gettysburg.
Gettysburg finished 8-8 overall and 4-6 in the Centennial Conference. The Bullets played six nationally-ranked teams and scored a 2-1 win over No. 14 Franklin & Marshall.
