Adams County residents are invited to enjoy complimentary admission to the Gettysburg Heritage Center on Monday, February 19, 2024. The museum is open to visitors from 10 am – 4 pm, with the last entrance into the exhibit area at 3:00 pm. The invitation allows for more locals to come and experience what the Heritage Center has to offer, beyond the regular complimentary admission that is offered to Gettysburg residents year-round.
“This is a great opportunity for locals to see what we have been doing over the past year,” said Executive Director, Stephanie Lightner. “Last summer we opened a new exhibit, Instruments In War, about the role music played in the Civil War. It is interactive and great for all ages!”.
Local guests should be prepared to show proof of residency upon entering the Heritage Center.
The Gettysburg Heritage Center will continue to offer complimentary admission year-round to Gettysburg residents with a 17325 zip code.
The Gettysburg Heritage Center is operated by the non-profit Gettysburg Nature Alliance. Founded in 2019, the organization’s mission is dedicated to the preservation, education, and rehabilitation of Gettysburg’s habitat and heritage.
