Grand Opening of Thaddeus Stevens Museum Annex is Saturday

Thad’s Place, the Thaddeus Stevens Museum, is growing!

This Saturday, April 5th, see the new “Thad’s Place” museum space and tour the main museum, which has been open since March 2024. The grand opening at 5 p.m. will be followed by a presentation at 6:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church at 30 Chambersburg Street. Hear about the Emancipation Proclamation, the history of the church, the kidnapping of Black citizens during the Gettysburg campaign of 1863, and Thaddeus Stevens.

Light refreshments will be served.
