The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) has launched a new ad campaign called “It’s Fall-ier in Pennsylvania” to attract fall travelers. The campaign aims to highlight Pennsylvania’s position as The Great American Getaway for fall lovers.
The 30-second television ad features colorful fall imagery from across the Commonwealth and will serve as an anchor for a media mix that includes out-of-home video, digital media, and paid social media. The “It’s Fall-ier Swagon” mobile experiential tour highlights Pennsylvania’s fall destinations and provides an immersive experience, including the sights and smells of fall. Visitors will sample iconic Pennsylvania fall treats, receive updates about peak fall foliage, and capture their experience in a photo booth.

The campaign also offers a chance to win custom fall swag and an overnight stay in Pennsylvania. For those looking for some spooky fun, Visit PA will also launch its Ghostly Getaway contest. The dare Halloween and fright fanatics will be able to win an overnight stay in a “be-spooked” room at the “boo-tique” Guild House Hotel in Philadelphia. One of the rooms in the historic property, a nearly 170-year-old National Historic Landmark, will transform into a haunted haven designed to frightfully rattle even the boldest of guests. Guests will be able to enjoy a unique and spine-chilling experience in the heart of one of Pennsylvania’s many haunted towns and cities.
Fall is a great time to visit Pennsylvania. From unrivaled fall foliage and the nation’s most historical haunts to the season’s best scents and treats, Pennsylvania offers something for everyone. The “It’s Fall-ier in Pennsylvania” campaign aims to inspire and motivate fall lovers to make a perfect place to stay.
