“I, [name], do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”
This is the oath of office that US Representative for Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional District (PA-13), John Joyce, M.D., swore this past January.
And yet, he has already broken it.
In an age when President Donald Trump has trampled the US Constitution by declaring Executive Orders that directly contradict the 14th Amendment or reach past the authority granted to the executive branch of our government with an egregiousness heretofore unseen, John Joyce is nowhere to be found raising any objection.
According to multiple constituents of his confiding to me, John Joyce has not answered phone calls, requests for in-person Town Halls, and heartfelt letters and emails, nor has he made any known public statements addressing Trump’s violations of the Constitution of the United States, like Trump’s use of US Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) agents to deport people from our country without due process. Meanwhile, Trump’s shadow president, Elon Musk, continues to gut federal programs and its workforce under the false claim of ferreting out fraud and abuse through the unapproved-by-Congress Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). But the major abuses happening are Trump and Musk’s illegal firings of dedicated government employees and impoundment of Congressionally-approved funding for federal agencies whose work they don’t like.
And John Joyce simply sits in silence.

In other words, at least one fifth of the people who live in PA13 are enrolled in Medicaid for their healthcare because they QUALIFY. “

US Department of Education
“With over 50 public K-12 school districts, public brick-and-mortar charter schools, and public vocational schools, it is no surprise that PA-13 depends on federal funding of more than $120M for IDEA, Title I, Title II, Title III, Title IV, and Tile V programs that support individuals with disabilities, low-achieving students in high poverty schools, adult basic education, English as a second language instruction, college affordability, and rural education, career, and technical training, respectively.”

Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act
“Only, the SAVE Act runs the risk of denying voting rights currently to most married women. This is because most married women’s names do not match the names published on their birth certificates, which they are more likely to hold than a current passport.
In PA-13, married women numbered 202,957, according to the 2023 census bureau data.”

Broken USDA contracts for PA-13 farmers

Measles epidemic
“With nearly 500 cases of measles in 19 states, including 2 new cases in Erie and Bucks counties of Pennsylvania, one would expect the US Representative of Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional District, a medical doctor no less, to make a statement.
But is John Joyce, M.D. urging his constituents to be vaccinated against measles, to have their doctors check their titres if unsure of their vaccine status, to ask other parents about their vaccine philosophies, and/or is he criticizing the life-threatening advice from the Director of Health and Human Services, antivaxxer Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.?
