To the editor,
Ryan Bizzarro, a candidate for State Treasurer, is uniquely unqualified to hold public office and should resign.
Mr. Bizzarro lacks the ability to lead on any issue and does not possess the requisite skills, judgment, temperament, or capacity for growth in order to represent our Commonwealth.
During Mr. Bizzarro’s tenure in Harrisburg, he has voted for HB818 which sought to preempt insurance companies in the state from covering abortion. The ACLU warning: “This bill even prohibits insurance coverage of abortion when the woman’s health is at risk, such as with complications from cancer or diabetes.”
Over the course of several years, elected officials may come to regret a vote and grow over time.
However, when Mr. Bizzarro is reminded about his voting record to restrict abortion, several times he has lashed out in personal attacks on social media. Including personal attacks against an elderly man from Duquesne as well as a young autistic man from North Versailles. Mr. Bizzarro has also refused to debate his opponent Erin McClelland, possibly, because he lacks the mental fortitude to engage in any civil dialogue.
Ultimately, leadership requires humility and accountability; the hard-working blue-collar men and women of Pennsylvania deserve better than a thin-skinned career politician who cannot take responsibility for his own record.
