Local attractions to offer Adams County resident discount through Saturday

Destination Gettysburg is partnering with local businesses and organizations to provide Adams County residents half-off admission through Saturday May 10 in celebration of National Travel and Tourism Week.

National Travel and Tourism Week is an annual tradition that highlights the travel industry’s essential role in driving economic growth, creating jobs and improving the quality of life throughout the United States. Each year, Destination Gettysburg plans a special event to give back to the local community in recognition of their contribution to the industry.

“The economic success of the Adams County tourism industry would not be what it is today without the support of our local residents,” Destination Gettysburg President and CEO Karl Pietrzak said. “We’re excited to partner with museums, attractions, tour companies and more to offer discounted access to residents for this special week as we celebrate the benefits of tourism.”

As an added bonus, Destination Gettysburg created an Adams County Bingo Card that includes each of the participating attractions. Get five stamps in a row (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) and the resident can enter to win a grand prize that includes dinner for two and a night at the theater. Stamp the free space in the middle by finding one of the Destination Gettysburg team members who will be out and about during the week of May 4 to 10.

Bingo cards will be available at participating attractions and can also be downloaded online. Visit DestinationGettysburg.com/NTTW to print your card, view participating attractions, and see where you can find Destination Gettysburg staff to get your center square stamped.
