Mental Wellness blooms at the Adams County Farmers Market

Healthy Adams County’s Behavioral Health Task Force once again teamed up with the Adams County Farmers Market to host the second annual Mental Wellness Day at the Market, held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Gettysburg Rec Park.

The free, community-centered event—celebrated as part of Mental Health Month—offered a welcoming space to promote education, connection, and mental well-being. Designed to encourage open dialogue and reduce stigma surrounding mental health, the event featured a variety of wellness activities for all ages.

Attendees participated in adult and children’s yoga sessions, mindful walking, massage therapy, face painting, food demonstrations, and enjoyed live music. More than 15 interactive vendors were on hand to share resources and support, including the Adams County Empowerment Center, K-Pets, NAMI York/Adams, the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Respective Solutions Group’s Center for Families, and YWCA Safe Home.

Organizers expressed gratitude to all who helped bring the event to life, noting that their collective efforts continue to make a meaningful difference in the community by shining a spotlight on mental wellness and fostering a spirit of inclusion and care.
