Mid-year development update: A thriving year at Adams County Library

As we reach the midpoint of the year, the Adams County Library is delighted to share some exciting updates and achievements with our community. It has been a fantastic year so far, marked by new donors, increased visitors, and enthusiastic participation in our programs.

One of the highlights of the year was the kick-off to our SummerQuest program with the family-filled FunFest event on Friday, June 14th. The event was a tremendous success, drawing families from all over the county to enjoy a day of fun and learning. We were thrilled to see such a strong turnout and the positive feedback we received from attendees.

In April, during National Library Giving Day month, we raised a significant amount of money toward our Early Literacy materials. This initiative is crucial in helping us provide the resources and programs necessary to support young readers in our community. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to this cause.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce a special event on October 3rd and 4th with Peng Shepherd, the Adams County Reads One Book Author. This event promises to be a memorable experience for all book lovers, and we will be sharing more details as the date approaches.

Our SummerQuest programs and challenges are in full swing, and we encourage everyone to sign up and participate. These programs offer a fantastic opportunity for community members of all ages to engage in educational and entertaining activities throughout the summer.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our donors, supporters, and advocates. Your generosity and dedication help us continue to provide valuable services and programs to the community. It truly takes a village to keep the library thriving, and we are grateful for your ongoing support.

As always, we invite you to visit the library, explore our programs, and share your experiences with others. Your support helps us grow and continue to serve as a vital resource for Adams County. Thank you for being a part of our journey and for helping us make this year a success. We look forward to many more exciting developments in the months ahead.

Eric Duffy is the Development Director of the Adams County Library System.

It is indeed a busy time at the ACPL. Mystery book club, non-fiction book club, genealogy club and a host of vying programs. Kudos to Bob Brown, a very busy activities director.
