
Born September 27, 1927 in Liberty Township, PA, son of the late Walter J. Crouse and Anna Elizabeth Harbaugh, he was one of ten children.
Allen served his country with pride in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He and his brother, Donald owned and operated Crouse Brothers Construction Company in Fairfield for many years working on some very notable structures throughout Adams County during that time. Allen was a devoted member of the Incarnation United Church of Christ in Emmitsburg, MD where he served for many years on the Consistory. He was a member of the Adams County Builders Association, the Fairfield Planning Commission, the Fairfield Municipal Authority, the Adams County Historical Society, Historic Gettysburg Adams County, and the American Legion Post 202.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jane (Stull) Crouse, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by all of his siblings, Donald, Calvin, Ross, Paul, Frances Snively, Ethel Grace Smith, Jane Ohler, Elizabeth Harbaugh, and Alice Katherine Crouse.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, 11am at the Monahan Funeral Home in Fairfield, 27 E. Main St, Fairfield, PA 17320. A visitation period will precede the service beginning at 10am until the time of the service. Interment will immediately follow the service at Fairfield Union Cemetery.
