Joseph “Joe” J. Tocco, 75, died at home on September 30, 2026. Born in Detroit on March 1, 1951, he was the son of the late Joseph and Pauline (Gelnett) Tocco. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Damato and received several federal recognitions during his career.
Tocco met his wife, Helen, while serving in the Navy; they shared 55 years of marriage and raised three sons. He enjoyed old Western movies, American history and metal detecting, as well as gardening, hunting, beekeeping, competitive shooting and road trips. Hunting and fishing were interests he passed on to his sons. He was a lifetime member of the Upper Adams Fish and Game Club.
Survivors include Helen; sons Joseph Tocco and his wife, Nicole, of Aspers, Anthony Tocco and his wife, Kimberly, of Aspers, and Vincent Tocco and his wife, Beth, of Gardners; grandchildren; and sisters JoAnn Price of Gettysburg and Paula Alameda of Nacogdoches, Texas.
