Marcia A. Fiscel, 69 of Gettysburg, PA, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at her home.
She was born July 27, 1956, in Gettysburg, daughter of Patricia A. (Gavin) Karr of Gettysburg and the late Edwin P. “Ed” Karr, Sr. Marcia is survived by her husband of 44 years, John R. “Jack” Fiscel. She was a 1974 graduate of Gettysburg High School and a 1978 graduate of the Allentown School of Nursing. Marcia retired in 2025 after more than 40 years of service at The Gettysburg Hospital.
She enjoyed her home and was an avid reader. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a sister, Patricia K. Neiderer, and her husband, Anthony, of Thomasville, a brother, Edwin P. Karr, Jr., and his wife, Joanne, of Norrisville, MD, three nieces, and six nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 25 West High Street, Gettysburg.
The family will receive friends on Saturday at the church from 9:00-10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
