He was born March 2, 1920 in Arendtsville PA the son of the late Reynolds and Amelia Carbaugh Criswell. He was predeceased by his wife, Sara Hall Criswell.
Mr. Criswell was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Arendtsville, PA.
For many years he was associated with the petroleum business in Adams County, PA. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during World War II. Wayne was a former member of the Arendtsville Fire Company, the South Mountain Fair Association, the Gettysburg Historical and Preservation Society and the Biglerville Historical and Preservation Society. Wayne was a former member of the Good Samaritan Lodge #336 F&AM.
