The Pennsylvania Department of Health offers the following services:
- Immunizations for uninsured and underinsured adults
- Immunizations for children birth through 18 years of age who are:
- uninsured or underinsured;
- American Indian or Alaska Native; or
- enrolled in Medicaid
- COVID-19 vaccinations for all individuals 12 years of age and older
- Tuberculosis testing, treatment, and contact investigations
- Confidential testing and counseling for the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)
- Confidential testing, counseling, and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
- STD and HIV partner notification, referral, and treatment
- Communicable and vaccine-preventable disease investigations
- Reportable disease and outbreak investigations
- Animal bite and rabid animal investigations
- Case management of infants and children with elevated blood lead levels
- Case management of pregnant women who are positive for the hepatitis B virus and their babies
- Family education and blood testing of infants and children who have phenylketonuria (PKU)
- Educational presentations on: communicable and vaccine-preventable diseases, chronic diseases, Lyme disease, STD/HIV, immunizations, environmental health, public health preparedness, and a variety of other public health topics
- Educational presentations for pharmacists, healthcare providers, and the community on the opioid epidemic and naloxone standing order
- Technical support for school nurses
- Client referral to other state and local resources depending on need
