Gettysburg’s 68th Annual Remembrance Day Parade will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Organized by the Sons of Veterans Reserve, the military department of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, the parade will start on Middle Street and follow its traditional route along Baltimore Street to Steinwehr Avenue.
Remembrance Day is a longstanding Gettysburg tradition, commemorating the anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln’s iconic Gettysburg Address, delivered on November 19, 1863. This weekend observance brings together reenactors, historians, and citizens to reflect on the sacrifices made during the Civil War.

Weather conditions should be close to the idea, with sunshine predicted and temperatures in the mid- to high 50s.
It was a great Parade. There were a lot more reenactors marching this year.
