Gardners Boy Scout Troop 75 participated in the 2024 Battlefield District Klondike Derby at Camp Tuckahoe in Dillsburg this weekend.
The Klondike Derby is an event where patrols from different troops throughout the district come together to compete in different Scouting skills.
The single-day derby event consisted of 8 different stations which included knots and lashings, cooking, teamwork tests, map and compass, first aid, emergency preparedness, and leadership skills.
This year the contingency from Troop 75 consisted of 4 Boy Scouts and 1 Arrow of Light Webelo from Pack 75 of Bendersville.
Overall, the kids did an amazing job and had a great time
Even though the derby itself is only one day, the boys made a weekend out of it by staying at a cabin in Gardners.
After a long day of competition and comradery, the kids returned to the cabin for some well-deserved pizza
Thank you to the leaders for their support and help in making this program possible!
