Summerfest Music Festival returns to rec park on September 5

The 2nd Annual Memorial Day weekend SummerFest, originally scheduled for the Memorial Day weekend but postponed due to rainy weather, will return to the Gettysburg Rec Park on Saturday, Sept. 5, featuring a full afternoon and evening of live music, food and alcohol vendors, games of chance, and a family-friendly vibe.

The event is pleased to be recognized as part of Adams County’s America250PA year-long celebration and will celebrate local music, community partnerships, and the continued revitalization of the rec park as a gathering space..

The festival is free to attend, although donations will be accepted to support the Gettysburg Area Recreation Authority (GARA) and the GARA skate park.

The music lineup will begin at 2:30 p.m. and continue throughout the evening:

  • 2:30 p.m. — Jillian Christine
    A rising singer-songwriter known for soulful vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and a blend of pop, indie, and acoustic styles.
  • 3:30 p.m. — Wyatt Becker Band
    Born and raised in Spring Grove, PA, Wyatt Becker is a remarkable performer in the local music scene. Wyatt’s songs are inspired by his service in the army.
  • 4:30 p.m. — Drew Cooke
     Drew is a singer/songwriter
  • 5:30 p.m. — Heads or Tails Experience
    A funk-rock band from Littlestown known for tight grooves, improvisational elements, and high-energy performances.
  • 6:30 p.m. — Jake Groft
    A modern country artist influenced by 1990s country music and contemporary performers including Luke Combs and Brooks & Dunn.
  • 7:30 p.m. — Sugar Hysteria
    A Hanover-based band blending alt-rock, melodic punk, and classic rock influences into catchy, upbeat songs.

The rec park is located at 545 Long Lane, Gettysburg. Free parking is available at many locations around the park. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and prepare to enjoy a day of entertainment.
