On November 4th, 2025, the residents of the Upper Adams School District will have the opportunity to vote for four new members of the School Board of Directors. You will find 7 candidates listed on the ballot for those 4 positions. Deb Steckler, Eric Markle, John Lindemulder, Kay Hollabaugh, and Rachel Elliot have all committed to work together, putting aside their party affiliations, to be the voice of the community in shaping the direction of the Upper Adams School District. All five of those candidates have children and grandchildren who currently, or have previously, attended Upper Adams schools. Our primary focus is to put the best interests of the students and our community first, making sure our children are receiving a quality education and the services they need to become successful adults in our community and beyond.
We need a school board that focuses on areas of importance like working to retain and attract quality teachers and administrators to our district, finding ways to continue to provide necessary services to our students as budgetary constraints continue to grow, and building trust with the school administration, staff, and the entire Upper Adams community.
I have had the privilege to get to know all of these candidates over the past year and believe that all of them have the qualities necessary to be effective leaders as our community’s representatives on the Upper Adams School Board. They will all work diligently to maximize the value that our tax dollars provide to the district. They will listen to the community to ensure that we are representing the values that are important to them. Most importantly, they will all be champions for our students and work tirelessly towards providing them the education they deserve.
As both a parent of students in the district, and a district taxpayer, I trust all of these candidates to represent me, and our community on the UASD School Board. My ask of you is to vote on Nov 4th, and vote for four of Deb Steckler, Eric Markle, John Lindemulder, Kay Hollabaugh, and Rachel Elliot.
Thank you,
Eric Markle

Because public education is a form of social engineering and you know personally these candidates, what main objectives would they want to change or keep in the curriculum? Outside the curriculum, even sharing restrooms with all sexes is a vital lesson learned in school. How much input would they allow parents the right to determine what is best for their children?
