Meet Highlights
- Competing in the fastest heat of the 800, Larzelere took full advantage of a quick pace to jump into the middle of Gettysburg’s all-time performance list. With Eastern’s Katelyn Bernotas setting the tone at the front of the pack, the Gettysburg sophomore jumped three spots over the final 200 meters to sneak into the No. 3 position. Her mark topped her previous PR set just last week by 1.86 seconds and boosted her into the fifth spot in the program’s record book.
- Alessi finished just off her personal best in the weight throw set just last week. She added four inches to her final throw on the day to finish eighth in the field of 28.
- Pienkos tied her collegiate indoor best at four feet, nine inches in the high jump. She was successful at clearing the bar on each of her first two tries.
- O’Brien and Addesso ran together in the 5,000. The pair improved five spots from the opening lap with O’Brien challenging for the eight spot with 1,000 meters left.
- Freshman Julia Piness (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) just missed a spot in the 60-meter finals, finishing 10th with a time of 8.64.
- Gettysburg finished fourth in the 4×200-meter relay. The team of Lilian Morrell (Frederick, Md./Urbana), Emily Wielk (West Haven, Conn./Sacred Heart), Olivia Farina (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug), and Abigail Rec (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) won their heat and posted a time of 1:56.34.
