Adams County updates safety measures and procedures * Walk-in vaccine clinic will close

The Board of Commissioners suspended the Adams County Policy Regarding Workplace COVID-19 Safety Measures, which went into effect April 20, 2020.

In his weekly newsletter, Commissioner Randy Phiel said the changes were such that persons that have been vaccinated are not required to wear a mask but persons who have not been vaccinated are still required to wear a mask.  He said temperature checks for public and staff have ceased.

Phiel also said appointments are no longer required to visit county offices – with the exceptions being the District Attorney and the Sheriff’s Office.  Public viewing of court proceedings is still limited to virtual viewing at the Human Services Building by contacting the Court Administrator at 717-337-9846 at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.”

The Wellspan vaccine clinic at the Emergency Services Building in Straban Township will be shut down now that vaccination needs have slowed. Phiel said the set up “is how government should work. Working with the community.” He was thankful to everyone involved considerably to the custodial staff.
