COVID-19 Vaccinations Available for Those 65 and Older or with High-Risk Conditions

The Pennsylvania Dept. of Health has now approved access to the COVID-19 vaccine for all people over 65 years of age and for people age 16-64 with high-risk conditions.*

There are several ways to make appointments for vaccination.

  1. Eligible individuals can use the MyWellSpan patient portal to schedule a vaccine online. If you don’t have a MyWellSpan account you can create one here.
  2. A second possibility is to schedule an appointment with one of the pharmacies in northern Adams and Cumberland and Perry counties that have been distributing vaccines. Email bgobin@careoptionsrx.com for information. They will reply with information about availability.
  3. One reader has reported scheduling a vaccine appointment by calling a state scheduling number, 717-356-8222.
  4. Contact your physician for information.

The citizens need to know how many doses the Federal Government has currently and when they are scheduled to receive more doses of the vaccine. We also need to know the same information by the entire commonwealth and by county. We also need a central site with which to schedule an appointment. Now, would be nice. Thank you.
