May is Older Americans Month, and the Adams County Office of Aging celebrated it with its Annual Spring Fling on Wednesday morning. Over 50 exhibitors attended the event, held at Gettysburg College’s Hauser Fieldhouse.
This year’s theme was “Powered by Connection.”
Participants included local health, wellness and education agencies including Aero Energy, Compassion Transport Services, Conewago Valley AARP, Darrell M. Sipe Opticians and Hearing Aids, Gettysburg Connection Senior Outreach, Grane Hospice Care, Healthy Adams County, Penn State Extension, SpiriTrust Lutheran, Transitions Healthcare Gettysburg, and UMPC VisionCorps.
Health screenings and vaccines were also made available.
Derek Reed sang upbeat songs of yesteryear which moved some in attendance to dance.
Lunch was available for ticket holders in the Atrium and a shuttle service was available.
Bingo was held in the Field House in the afternoon. Rabbit Transit provided transportation to and from Gettysburg College.
What a great event! Lots of information for us seniors, warm and welcoming vendors, good music and fun was had by all….hope it continues.
