Farmers Markets:

Adams County Farmers Market at the Transit Center. Saturday morning.

Gettysburg Farmers Market on Lincoln Square. Saturday 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Farm Fresh Saturdays Farmers Market at the Outlet Mall. Saturday, 9 a.m.

Theater: Twin Hearts continues at the Gettysburg Community Theatre. Read our review.

The National Apple Harvest Festival continues.

Film: Judy. Renée Zellweger stars as Judy Garland as she arrives in London in 1968 to perform a series of sold-out concerts and attempt to rebuild her life. Gettysburg Majestic Theater.

Film: The cast of the PBS mega hit make Downton Abbey make their big screen debut as the Crawley Family and their household prepare for a once-in-a-lifetime visit from the royal family. Gettysburg Majestic Theater.

Friday

Education: Friday is Community Education Day at HACC Gettysburg Campus. Learn from 12 different topic areas.

Food: Historic Downtown Food Tour. Eat your way through Gettysburg! Enjoy downtown in a whole new way as we eat our way through the most delicious and historic neighborhoods on this Gettysburg food tour. 10:45 a.m. Downtown Gettysburg.

Friday Fitness: Free yoga in Schmucker Art Gallery. 4:00 p.m. Schmucker Hall Art Gallery.

Friday Evening

Music: Dan and Ali at the GO Too! Back again for more Guinness whiskey songs about whiskey and also Guinness at the Garryowen. This dynamic duo plays all of your favorite eclectic covers of everything from punk to alt country. 6:00 p.m. Garryowen Irish Pub.

Civil War: Sunset at the Seminary Walking Tour . Join Dr. Daryl Black and Peter Miele for special battlefield walking tours. Each tour will examine a specific aspect of fighting on Seminary Ridge before during and after the Battle of Gettysburg. 6:00 p.m. Seminary Ridge Museum.

Film: Meet Actor Jim Krut at the Farnsworth House Come meet “The Helicopter Zombie” Jim Krut from the 1978 George A. Romero horror classic film Dawn of the Dead. 7:00 p.m. Beer Garden of the Farnsworth House.

Saturday

Mystery Tour/Untold Tales There are some mysteries and a few skeletons in everyone’s family tree and the town of Gettysburg is no exception. On this tour you might hear about a murder in Gettysburg that has never been solved 5:00 p.m.

Civil War: Eisenhower Society Commemoration Join the Dwight D. Eisenhower Society for the 50th commemoration of Dwight D. Eisenhower’s birth.  At 11:15 am all are welcome to gather at the Eisenhower House Preside 11:15 AM Eisenhower House Gettysburg College.

Opera: Turandot – The Met: Live in HD. Powerhouse soprano Christine Goerke takes on the icy title princess, alongside tenor Roberto Aronica as the unknown prince vying for her love. 1:00 p.m. Gettysburg Majestic Theater.

Wine/Winery: Live Music with Charlie Fry Hang out with Charlie Fry during apple harvest season and enjoy some local cider and wine on the patio. 2:00 p.m. Boyer Cellars.

Saturday Evening

Music: Schizophonic: Live Band Karaoke at the Garryowen It’s time for another round of live band karaoke at the GO! 10:00 p.m. Garryowen Irish Pub.

Sunday

Music: Mendelssohn Piano Trio “A program so lush, substantial and richly flavored you wanted to eat it with a knife and fork.” (Washington Post) The concert is free and open to the public. 4:00 p.m. in the chapel at United Lutheran Seminary.
