April 4 was Thaddeus Stevens’ 232nd birthday and the 25th anniversary of the Thaddeus Stevens Society.

The museum features artifacts from the society’s collection including many of Stevens’ letters.

Tom Jolin provided entertainment on the hammered dulcimer.

“It was a great grand opening and thank you to everyone who attended. We look forward to more people coming to visit the free museum,” said museum director Ross Hetrick.

Our photographer Jim Bargas was there for the festivities.
