From October 2019 through March 2020, the National Park Service (NPS) will continue managing white-tailed deer at Gettysburg National Military Park and Eisenhower National Historic Site. Gettysburg and Eisenhower national parks are reducing the number of deer in the parks directly by shooting. All venison will once again be donated to Gettysburg area food banks.

Charles Strauss and his family have moved to a new home on West Broadway. Because the new address is in Ward 2 and he currently represents Ward 3, Strauss will be leaving the board as of July 15th. Strauss announced his resignation at last Monday’s council workshop. Strauss will remain on the borough’s planning commission.
Gettysburg Borough reports that beginning tomorrow, Friday June 21, workers will be removing the island curbing on West Broadway. There will be no parking on the North side of West Broadway.
